Technical information on the Electronics is provided here. These are provided to help your Clinical Engineering Department with their inspection process if necessary - it is common for battery-operated equipment in some settings to require an initial or periodic inspection sticker.
Regulatory, Purchasing, or Product approval offices and boards of some institutions may also seek the information provided below as you consider using the Call Ball for your institutions.

This image provides clinical engineering with the overview of the circuit used for the Call Ball
This view demonstrates the flow of the current animated. It is a simple design with the resistance selected to provide the LED with enough power to be seen in a well-lit hallway, but not draw too much power so as to allow for longer battery life (up to 70 hours of continuous illumination) for the 9-volt Alkaline battery. This was designed to allow for approx. 6 to 8 months of battery life with routine use

This is a photo of the inside of the Call Ball with the top lid and dome removed. The ribs within the light housing section were designed to provide additional impact resistance and strength to the unit as well as create the path for the wiring and to form secluded compartments for the internal components.
This is a man-made, all analog design - made for durability, strength, and efficient production. It has been designed for many years of reliable use and engineered simply to allow for repair if needed (it is highly unlikely that it will ever need to be repaired!).
In an age of Artificial Intelligence and disposable products, this product represents the care and craftsmanship of man-made design and production. Built-to-last and to be repaired if it has any issues. No AI design nor robotic manufacturing here! All components were created or selected for their durability and quality, assembled by skilled craftspeople and tested for reliability.
Made in Maine, None Finer.
